Düsseldorf - Germany

Hello everyone..

How did you spent your Saturday? I went to Düsseldorf this afternoon to meet my brother Pascal, his girlfriend Cindy and Kania ;)
After having lunch at a Korean restaurant (I've already forgot the name, I just can remember it's located in Oststraße hehehe), we went to the city center to met Angga and his gf, Sinta.
Here are some photos ..

I did't really know much about Düsseldorf and I just planning to go there next time. Because we were too late today and the weather were not too friendly (although it is pretty warm in the morning)

And this is our lunch for tonight. Chessy tomato pasta made by me. I didn't have any idea what is the perfect name for this pasta sauce :D I use a baked tomato, mixed together with cheese I bought from Aldi yesterday and pf course, chilli !!

And this is what I made yesterday. Friday is always becoming a SUPER Happiest day entire the week. Because as a medical student, D used to be at his college from 8-17.00 pm everyday. Poor me :/
And he just can't wait til the weekend comes.
So I just suddenly jump into Marta Stewart's website and search for his basic sugar recipe (which I made a litte bit differences, because I tought the original recipe contain too much sugar).
I bought the cookie cutters from Aldi , 25 pieces for only 2,5 Euro. Happy <3

So this is The TGIF cookies made by meee :D
TGIF + Grace & David cookies :D
Have a great weekend everyone.

lots of love,

My travel tips for students:

1. Check all the "must visit place" in the country / city you're going visit
(never ever travel without knowing the places you will visit / you will decide it when you arrives in the city). You will waste a lot of time.

2. Go to google maps and mark all the tourist destinations that you've choose.

3. Check the website of the public transportation available there and keep the schedule, so you will not stay too long in one place / or confused to find the transportation in the next day

4. If you do not want to spend too much money to eat, make sure your stomach is filled before leaving. maximum one day before, make sure you know in the restaurant / in the area where you will have your lunch.
I recommend you to look after the typical food in that city / country. Maybe it's not always delicious, but I think it is ok to increase your kowledge about food.
Look after the restaurant / dining place, that is recommended by many people.
I usually buy groceries, which are easy to cook and have a breakfast and (sometimes) dinner at home / place where I stay.

5. Check the weather forecast, so you're not gonna wear the wrong costume.

6. Make sure you have a bottle of mineral water and wear the comfort shoes (if you gonna do a lot of walk)

7. Drink Vitamin C before sleep to keep your body in a good condition.

cheers,
Grace

Indonesian people in Bochum

Well, ever since I moved to Bochum, I've never even met another students from Indonesia, except Johan and Sasmia. For me it's not too surprising, because when I was in Bonn, I only ever met with students from Indonesia 1 time (prior to the arrival of a large group that I picked up in Duesselorf).
But yesterday afternoon I got an invitation to have a dinner with the Indonesian students in Bochum.

At about 18:00 we gathered at the Bochum train station and we went to Duisburg. I feel very happy, to meet new friends. We ate, talked and laughed until night. I heard many exciting stories from Sahata and the others, who have been living in Germany for about 10 years. I also met Rama, Indonesian students, who got a scholarships from DAAD, psst .. I'm very happy to know that there is also another people who like photography.

 L to R back: Chacha - Kiki - Diaz - Gathan - David - Me - Sahata - Made - Agesha.

I'm still alive !!

Haii!

Sorry for being a bad blogger. I remember, my last post was on March. Oh Graaaccce....
So, back from my trip to USA(I had not even finished posting about this. Soorrryyy :( ), I was busy preparing for the portfolio as a requirement for admission to the University. Then at the beginning of June I made a quick trip to Italy, France and Switzerland because a friend of my mother and my aunty traveled around Europe on last Summer, promise I'll write about it soon :D

5 days before I went to Indonesia, David and I decided to go to Berlin. then I went back to Indonesia for 2 and half months. I can not tell you how happy I am, because I finally get to see my mother's grave and gathering with other families. I also learned a lot about business from my mentor and thank God I have started building a small business with D and my brother Pascal :)

10 September, D and me were going back to Germany. We both decided to move to Bochum. David take his medical college in this city, as well as me. Part I like the most is when we were both busy looking for a house, phoned the owner of the house and meet the homeowners to see the house. Our choice finally fell on a house located in the city center. I immediately like my homeowner called Mr and Mrs. Gloschat, they are really kind. They told us to move to Bochum quickly, and we do not have to pay rent in september.

the 20th of september, me, David, Pascal, Ihsan and Dano went to Nürnberg to attend the seminar from Robert and Kim Kiyosaki. it was great, I'll tell you later;)

Life becomes more enjoyable, challenging and the most important thing is, because I am now a Graphic Design student !!!! :D

See you in the next post :*
